Group Exercise Classes

At Bob’s Gym, we offer more than 150 group exercise classes a week between our four convenient locations.  All of our group classes are included in your membership!  We offer classes that focus on relaxation, balance, cardio, and strength training.  Our Bob’s Gym instructors are all experienced will help you not only have fun while working out, but will help teach you proper form and technique.

We have a few different aquatics classes, ranging from Turbo Aqua to Senior Aqua. And of course we have the cardio classes like Cycling, Group Kick and Cardio Mix.

With the different options we have in our Group Exercise schedule, you are bound to find a class that works for you and fits your schedule!

Class Descriptions

Arthritis Aquatics- This aqua class is geared to individuals with arthritis to take your joints through their full range of motion to keep you limber. Great class to get started in for first timers to aqua. If lightning is sited, you will have to exit the pool. You may re-enter the pool 20 minutes after the last strike is sited.

Aqua Aerobics- A non-impact cardio class great for ANY fitness level. You choose how hard you work as the water provides resistance. This class combines both fat-burning cardio moves and toning with water dumbbells. If light- ning is sited, you will have to exit the pool. You may re-enter the pool 20 minutes after the last strike is sited. Bring a swim suit and join us!

Aqua Combo- Enjoy the benefits of cross training in the water! This challenging class offers the benefits of cardio conditioning in deep and shallow water combined with toning exercises utilizing a variety of equipment. If lightning is sited, you will have to exit the pool. You may re-enter the pool 20 minutes after the last strike is sited.

Body Blast- A total body strengthening and defining class using a variety of equipment in a group exercise setting. Get motivated to tone up to great tunes. No two workouts are alike to keep you from getting bored!

Boot Camp- This 60-min intense cardio and strength training class is a sure bet to get your body jump started.

Boxing- Jump rope, agility ladder, speed & heavy bags, mitt work, abs, running. All fitness levels welcome.

Butts N Guts- A class designed to strengthen and tone those trouble areas!

Cardio Circuit- Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance and power.

Core Motion- This class is designed to work your entire mid-section. 30 minutes of strengthening and stretch to tighten up abdominals and back.

Cycle- An indoor group cycling class designed to motivate you to build your cardio system, burn fat, and improve your endurance.

Duathlon- An intense 60-minute cardio class that incorporates cycling and running used primarily in an interval for- mat

Group Centergy- Defining the inner athlete in you using yoga and pilate movements to strength your core, increase your flexibility and create more mobility in your spine to improve all your daily activities.

Group Kick- The class mixes martial arts and boxing movements to kick your cardio fitness while defining and shap- ing your body and self confidence! Group Kick will knock you out!

Group Power- Here is your hour of power. Experience this muscle pumping, body toning class set to music. You will walk away with the workout of your life. Utilizing barbells and plates with unlimited growth in muscle developing.

Interval Step- Step aerobics class, varying choreographies and medium-high intensity with weight training intervals. Can easily be modified for beginners.

Kick N Cardio- A moderate to high intensity workout using various kicking and punching patterns.
Pilates- This core conditioning class is hard work in a relaxing atmosphere! Taught by certified Pilates instructors, this class is designed to give participants a great toning, stretching, and elongating workout.

Seniors’ Aerobics- Basic dance to basic step aerobics to music with very low beats per minute. Lower intensity. All ages invited, but mostly seniors attend.

Seniors’ Aerobics and Toning- Basic Dance Aerobics to music with low beats per minute plus total body toning.

Seniors’ Aqua Aerobics- A non-impact cardio class great for ANY senior fitness level. You choose how hard you work as the water provides resistance. Senior Tone- This class is designed to give senior citizens a total body toning and flexibility workout. Just 45 minutes long, it is a great way to fit stretching and toning into your busy day!

Strength- Let’s get stronger. Learn numerous exercises that can be performed using equipment and stability balls or just your own body weight. This class will tone you all over!

Turbo Aqua- This deep water aqua class will take you to a new level of aqua fitness. Utilizing aqua joggers you will be suspended in water putting your cardio fitness to the test. Resistance equipment will also be used for added conditioning. If lightning is sited, you will have to exit the pool. You may re-enter the pool 20 minutes after the last strike is sited.

Yoga- A Fitness Hatha yoga class designed to improve core strength, total body flexibility, physical and mental
balance, and the mind-body connection. Hatha Yoga is the yoga style that is the most popular and easiest to learn. Pri- vate and buddy yoga sessions available- see front counter for details.

Zoo Walk- Come on out to the Mesker Park Zoo every Wednesday for an instructor lead walk. Bring your family and friends your cost is the admission to the zoo. Toning with bands and stretching will also be incorporated. *Seasonal.

Zumba®- Come join one of the fastest growing dance-based fitness crazes in the country! Fall in love with the infectious music and easy-to-follow Latin inspired dance moves!
