It’s strange to think about, but the next big holiday on our calendar? Labor Day. After that? Halloween (unless you count Fall Festival week as a holiday).
When it comes to fitness, we tend to let Halloween skate a bit more than other, more obvious holiday attacks on diet. We have all the turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and pecan pie of Thanksgiving, the “Christmas Dinner”, and even champaign toasts on New Years. People can focus more on the costumes and the actual act of “Trick-or-Treating” then the actual treats they eat afterwards.
Chocolate is a good thing, don’t get me wrong. But buckets of chocolate consumed at once? Eeesh.

Here’s what we say to that – there is no reason why Halloween time can’t also be a time to think about family fitness, in addition to family fun. We love this time of year (the weather, the football, the atmosphere), and what better way to celebrate it than with a brisk run?
Our 7th Annual See Bob Run is October 27th. It’s both a 5K race and a Family Fitness Day, complete with a Kids Dash. The awesome team at North has been ridiculously hard at work putting it all together, and we’re ready for you to sign up and take part.
The 5K is only $20, and the Kids Dash is 100% free! Click here to register.
